Four different and challenging golf courses should put Sandestin golf on your must-play list. These courses weave their way through lush native vegetation, dramatic water features and mystical bunker patterns. You will want to play them again and again. When I play, it always seems like a different course from my previous outing. (But that is probably due to my somewhat less than accurate drives!) Sandestin has consistently been ranked in the top 75 Golf Resorts in the US for more than a decade. Each course has received numerous awards from just about every golf publication.

Sandestin is much more than just a great place to play golf; it is a resort community with almost every imaginable amenity! There are more than 1800 accommodations nestled among 2400 acres of beautiful landscaping, natural areas and this country's most beautiful beaches. This resort is an ideal place for newlyweds, families, retirees and conventioneers. The Golf Courses

Baytowne Golf Club Designed by Tom Jackson to take advantage of the natural beauty and terrain. It is heavily bunkered and water comes into play on 12 holes. The back nine is a visual treat as you weave from the Gulf of Mexico to Choctawhatchee bay. The greens are reasonably large, but the undulations are tricky. Burnt Pine Golf Club Designed by Rees Jones and designated the Crown Jewel of Florida Golf by golf Magazine. Frankly, all the accolades and awards from expert golf publications can be confirmed with just one round at this remarkable course. Beautiful and challenging with extensive mounding and 14 holes imperiled by water. Select your approach carefully; there are no freebie holes here. The Links Course Although the easiest of the four golf courses to play at Sandestin Golf; it will still put up a challenge for a good score. The prevailing Gulf Coast winds can make club selection tricky. 5 holes are played alongside Choctawhatchee Bay, reminding you of why you came to northwest Florida in the first place. Raven Golf Club Robert Trent Jones Jr. crafted this unique and visually stunning course. The Raven features wide fairways with hazards lining the landing areas, massive undulating greens, and several demands for long carries that includes the 203-yard shot to the island green at the par three 6th and a long, angled carry from the rear tees on the 604-yard 7th.
