Destin Fishing Rodeo

Every October, over 30,000 anglers compete for the various prizes at the famous Destin Fishing Rodeo. This is a month long fishing contest.
There is an award for just about every game fish, in several divisions such as Junior, Teen, Ladies, Senior, Open and whether fishing from a fare carrying or private boat. Winners receive combinations of fishing gear, cash, dinner certificates and the coveted Glass Rodeo Award!boats in Destin Harbor


  • Open every day during the month of October

  • Weigh ins are everyday on the docks at A.J.'s Seafood and Oyster Bar from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.

  • Free entry for fish caught while fishing from a Pier, a Bridge, the Jetties or the Surf

  • Free entry if you fish from a registered boat in the Rodeo

  • Every boat, whether private or charter is open to be registered.

  • There are daily, weekly and overall prizes.
