There is almost nothing better than Destin FL Shopping!

For us, it would not be a vacation unless we had a day of shopping! (or two, or three...) Crazy as this might seem, but we do not fret about a little rain when we are vacationing, because we can always spend that time doing a little shopping.

Debbie even has her own special shopper's walk, which is probably about double her normal speed. But then, Destin has so many great places to explore, that a little quicker pace might be in required to see all the places you might want to see!

We are bargain shoppers, which inevitably lead us to shop at our favorite outlet center in the world, Silver Sands Factory Stores. They bill themselves as the nation's largest designer outlet center with over 100 designer stores. For a complete listing of their stores and hours, click here.

When we want to go a little more upscale or enjoy some of the nightlife, we head to Destin Commons. This is a great place to spend some time, because it has something for everyone! There are plenty of places for the guys to visit, while the girls do their thing. There are several special stores for the kids too. Kids of all ages enjoy playing in the water fountain area. Destin Commons is just one complex occupying one of four corners at a major intersection. All four corners have a shopping center with familiar shopping destinations, which make it one of our most often visited areas. It is easy to find and is located about 6 miles east of the Destin Bridge on Highway 98 intersecting State Hwy 293 (also known as Danny Wuerffle Way). Hwy 293 going north takes you over the Mid-Bay Bridge to Niceville.
